自古以来， 人类寻找自我意识的第一件事就是确认自己的位置， 这也是艺术的起源。 太阳遥拜的故事，在许多古老的文明中都有记载。 人类崇拜太阳， 不仅是因为东升西落让我们意识到天地变换， 更因为光影变化让我们意识到了自身的存在。 四季循环往复，人类命运潮起潮落，生生不息。 时间和空间的双重坐标， 建构起我们如今作为人的位置。 今年夏天， 我们拜访了杉本博司的精神故乡小田原。 在相模湾崖壁之上、橘林之间，散落着一系列的建筑， 那便是杉本作为艺术家的集大成之作「江之浦测候所」。 生命重生的冬至， 日时顶峰的夏至， 以及两极中点的春分和秋分， 杉本有意识地建构了各个建筑与四个气象节点的关系。 身处其中，人们将重溯人类古老的观测习惯， 许会找到指向时空的线索。 百米遥拜长廊展示着杉本博司的《海景》系列作品。 这是对时空的发问。 不论时间、地点、天气，总是海、天及海平线。 幅幅海景中竟看不到一丝人类痕迹， 与千万年前别无二致。 时间的流逝与空间的变化被消解了， 那么仍留存下来的是否就是真理？ 本期活动将以「江之浦测候所中体现的时空观」切入 探讨关于时间与空间的话题。
